The Leading Hoteles of the World, Ltd. (LHW) is pleased to announce the addition of eight new members to its global portfolio of more than 400 independent luxury hotels. This “Summer Collection” marks LHW’s entry into many new destinations including Zman, Croatia; Antwerp, Belgium; Park City, Utah, United States; and San Pedro de Atacama, Chile.

Overview of new members of LHW: the “summer collection”
Washington School House Hotel (Park City, Utah, USA): This upscale boutique hotel is located in one of the last original schools in the United States, dating back to 1889 and now a National Historic Landmark. The 13-room hotel is superbly designed and feels like a private home, offering all of the Rocky Mountain amenities travelers seek. Villa Nai 3.3 (Zman, Croatia): Opened in June 2021, this property on the island of Dugi Otok off the Dalmatian coast is completely immersed in nature, surrounded by beaches and cliffs. The architect Nikola Basic created the hotel, the oil mill and the tasting room inside a century-old organic olive grove. The eight rooms of the hotel are built from stones collected in the olive grove and the interiors feature designer furniture perfectly in tune with nature.
ARIA Retreat & SPA (Cima di Porlezza, Italy): Opened in August 2021, this new architectural masterpiece is set in a lush 60-acre subtropical park on the shores of Lake Lugano. It was inspired by the beauty of the surrounding mountains and lake and is ideally located halfway between Lake Como and the city of Lugano. The intimate 30-suite property has a private beach, expansive spa, gourmet restaurant and terrace, spectacular infinity pool, and a host of outdoor activities – boating boating, hiking, climbing, biking.
Sumahan on the Water (Istanbul, Turkey): Located on the coast of Çengelköy, this waterfront property is an intimate 13-room retreat with all the comforts of a grand hotel. It occupies a distillery from the Ottoman era which is today one of the last examples of Ottoman industrial architecture of the 19th century. The property has been lovingly converted into a hotel by the Butler family, a husband-wife architect duo and two designer daughters. They have carefully retained the industrial spirit of the property that has belonged to their family since the 1930s.
